Can the automatic spray gun spray water-based paint?

Can the automatic spray gun spray water-based paint? Whether spraying oil-based paint or water-based paint has nothing to do with the spray gun, the automatic spray gun is selected mainly because the automatic spray gun does not require manual spraying. The automatic spray gun that is automatically operated by the control cabinet is generally suitable for automatic coating lines or robots.

But what we need to pay attention to is that try not to use the same automatic spray gun to spray water-based paint and oil-based paint, because the spray gun that has been sprayed with oil-based paint is difficult to clean, and a little oil-based paint or thinner can destroy the surface effect of water-based paint. Undesirable phenomena such as shrinkage and whitening appear.

Therefore, there are three considerations for choosing a water-based spray gun/water-based paint spray gun:

1. Water-based paint is corrosive to metal to a certain extent. When choosing a water-based paint spray gun, the material and design structure of its core components are very demanding. It is necessary to ensure a long service life and stable performance of the spray gun;

2. The covering performance of water-based paint is excellent, and it needs an automatic spray gun with good atomization effect and uniform spray width to reflect it;

3. The price of water-based paint is relatively high. Only water-based paint spray guns that comply with VOC regulations can save costs and avoid deviating from the original intention of environmental protection requirements.
