Historical Development of Electrophoresis
Under the action of an electric field, charged particles move towards electrodes with opposite electrical properties, known as electrophoresis (EP). Electrophoresis is a technology that uses charged particles to move at different speeds in an electric field to achieve separation.
In 1807, it was first discovered by Ferdinand Frederic Reuss of Moscow University in Russia.
In 1936, Swedish scholar A.W.K. Tiselius designed and manufactured a mobile interface electrophoresis instrument, which isolated three globulins of horse serum albumin, and created the electrophoresis technology.
