Operating steps of manual grease gun:
Oil loading → (exhaust) → test → work → remove obstacles → work
Oil loading: bulk grease, cartridge grease, pump grease
Bulk butter:
1. Unscrew the oil gun head to separate it from the gun barrel.
2. Dip the opening part of the barrel into the barreled butter. When it is about 30 mm deep, hold the barrel tightly with one hand, and pull the driven handle at the end of the barrel backward with the other hand to suck the butter into the barrel.
3. Install the oil gun head, press the locking plate at the end of the gun barrel and push the driven handle into the gun barrel.
Precautions: With this oil loading method, it is easy to leave air in the gun, so that no butter can be produced. At this time, pull the driven handle at the end of the gun barrel to the bottom, press the exhaust hole with one hand, press the locking plate at the end of the gun barrel with the other hand, and simultaneously push the driven handle into the gun barrel to exhaust the air in the gun barrel. This method is called exhaust method for short. Another exhaust method: when there is no exhaust valve on the grease gun, push the driven handle in the gun barrel for several times, slightly loosen the gun head for exhaust, and then tighten the gun head.
Cartridge butter (cartridge or cartridge):
1. Unscrew the oil gun head to separate it from the gun barrel.
2. Pull the driven handle to the bottom, and then unscrew the cover of the oil cartridge (or the cartridge filled with butter). The opening of the oil cartridge faces the direction of the barrel. Put the oil cartridge into the barrel, and tear the seal at the other end of the oil cartridge.
3. Screw on the gun head (do not screw it too tightly), press the locking plate at the end of the gun head and push the driven handle into the gun barrel. Under no load condition, pull the driven handle to the bottom and then push it back to the original position to exhaust; If there is an exhaust valve on the gun, tighten the gun head first, and then press the exhaust valve several times to exhaust while operating the driven handle.
4. Tighten the gun head and push the driven handle into the gun barrel.
Precautions: If the oil cartridge is rubber packed (commonly known as grease cartridge), it is no longer necessary to operate the exhaust action of the driven handle after the grease cartridge is screwed to the screw hole on the gun head; If the oil cartridge is filled with grease, it should be noted that the rubber bowl in the gun barrel can enter and has entered the oil cartridge filled with grease, and the edge of the grease cartridge is not deformed or damaged, otherwise it is easy to cause the grease gun to be unable to shoot butter and cannot work.
Pump grease:
1. Connect the oil receiving nozzle on the head of the grease gun with the oil filling nozzle of the pump.
2. Hold the grease gun tightly and operate the handle of the pump. When the butter is injected, the driven handle will automatically move backward until it can no longer move, indicating that the oil is full.
3. Slightly disconnect the oil pump connector, press the locking plate at the end of the barrel and push the driven handle into the barrel.
Precautions: Before oil injection, remember to take out the oil cartridge that may be left in the gun barrel.
Test: Connect the hard pipe (or hose) to the head of the grease gun, and connect the grease fitting to the other end of the hard pipe (or hose). Press the lever handle of the grease gun gently to see if the grease can be pressed out. If there is butter, the gun can work normally. If no butter comes out, there may be air or blockage inside. The exhaust method can be used to exhaust and then test. If no butter can be found after exhaust, there may be blockage inside. At this time, check according to the sequence of grease fitting → hard pipe (or hose) → gun head. Inspection method: unscrew the grease fitting first, and then operate the lever handle. If there is grease coming out, it can be judged that the grease fitting is partially blocked; Check according to this method until the blockage position is found. At this time, replace the accessories or discharge the blockage. After all obstacles are removed, test again until the grease gun can press out the butter normally.
