Operating principle of oil-water separator
Principle of oil-water separator; 1. The fuel enters the oil-water separator (i.e. the oil inlet side IN of the oil-water separator) from the daily oil tank or the base oil tank. The fuel inlet flow impulses the rubber impeller of the oil-water separator to rotate, allowing water to settle to the bottom of the separator. Because the specific gravity of water is heavier than the fuel, the water will settle at the bottom. At the same time, there is a red rubber ring at the lower end of the separator. When there is accumulated water at the lower end of the separator, the rubber ring will float.
2. When the fuel is filled with the fuel separator, the fuel is filtered by the filter element and then soaked to the inner side of the inner core. There is an iron pipe in the middle of the inner side of the inner core, and there are two holes on the iron pipe. The fuel flows to the fuel delivery pump of the unit through the iron pipe holes (i.e. the outlet side of the oil-water separator). The OUT of the oil-water separator is output to the unit hand oil pump.
3. At the same time, the oil-water separator is marked with IN oil inlet mark and OUT oil outlet mark. Before starting the unit, the joints of oil-water separator and oil pipe must be firmly connected without looseness and air leakage, and check whether the oil inlet pipe to oil-water separator and the oil outlet pipe to the unit are connected incorrectly. Then fill the oil-water separator with fuel before manually pumping and emptying the unit.

After the separator is filled with fuel, the fuel is filtered through the filter element and soaked inside the filter element. The fuel flows out from the two holes on the iron pipe in the middle to the output end of the separator, and then to the unit fuel transfer pump.
