The person in charge said that although Paxlovid could not be included in the medical insurance directory through negotiation, according to the requirements of the Notice on Optimizing the Medical Insurance Policies for novel coronavirus Infected Patients after the Implementation of "Class B Control" jointly issued by the National Health Insurance Bureau and relevant departments recently (hereinafter referred to as the Notice), all therapeutic drugs in the Diagnosis and Treatment Plan for novel coronavirus Infection (Tenth Edition for Trial Implementation), The medical insurance will temporarily pay for Paxlovid, Azovudine tablets, Monolavir capsules, Sanhan Huashi granules, etc. until March 31, 2023. During this period, the insured patients infected with COVID-19 can enjoy the medical insurance reimbursement policy when using these drugs.
In addition, after Azovudine Tablets and Qingfei Paidu Granules were included in the national medical insurance drug list through this negotiation, there were more than 600 drugs in the national medical insurance drug list for the treatment of COVID-19 symptoms such as fever and cough. At the same time, in order to meet the treatment needs of patients infected with COVID-19 in various regions, medical insurance departments in various regions have temporarily included a batch of COVID-19 symptomatic drugs into the payment scope of local medical insurance in combination with the operation of local medical insurance funds recently. In general, there are a variety of drugs for COVID-19 infection treatment reimbursed by medical insurance.
The person in charge also said that recently, the Office of the National Health Insurance Bureau issued the Guidelines for the Price Formation of COVID-19 Therapeutic Drugs (for Trial Implementation), and took full cycle and multi-level measures to guide enterprises to open, transparent and reasonable pricing of newly marketed antiviral drugs needed for the prevention and treatment of novel coronavirus infection.
