There are sometimes some problems during the use of automatic spray guns. Today, Centco Spraying conducts a detailed analysis of the common failures of automatic spray guns, and analyzes the causes according to the phenomena and finds solutions.

1. Phenomenon: The shape of the spray fan is biased to one side by the center of gravity

Reason: The center hole of the air cap or the atomization hole is blocked

Countermeasures: 1. Clean the atomizing cap; 2. Replace the atomizing cap

2. Phenomenon: Left or right

Reason: 1. The fan control hole on one side of the air cap is blocked; 2. The air cap is damaged

Countermeasures: 1. Clean the atomizing cap; 2. Replace the atomizing cap

3. Phenomenon: The center of the spray pattern is too thick

Reasons: 1. The viscosity of the sprayed paint is too high; 2. The spraying pressure is too low; 3. The diameter of the nozzle and the thimble increase and decrease due to wear.

Countermeasures: 1. Lower the viscosity of the paint; 2. Increase the spraying pressure; 3. Replace the nozzle set.

4. Phenomenon: Sprinkler Splitting

Reasons: 1. The viscosity of the paint is too low; 2. The spraying pressure is too high; 3. The inner diameter of the fan control hole is too large; 4. The paint is not enough; 5. The atomizing air channel is blocked

Countermeasures: 1. Increase the viscosity of the paint; 2. Reduce the spraying pressure; 3. Replace the nozzle set; 4. Add enough paint; 5. Clean the air channel of the spray gun.

5. Phenomenon: Jumping the gun

Reasons: 1. The nozzle is not tightened or not installed properly; 2. The needle seal kit is loose; 3. The connection nut of the automatic spray gun is loose (the lower pot spray gun); 4. The paint in the pot is insufficient; 5. The nozzle kit is damaged.

Countermeasures: 1. Tighten the nozzle or clean and install the nozzle set; 2. Tighten the thimble seal set; 3. Tighten the connection nut; 4. Refill the paint; 5. Replace the nozzle set

6. Phenomenon: the spray pattern is heavy or heavy

Reasons: 1. The air outlet of the nozzle, thimble or air cap is blocked by debris; 2. The air cap or nozzle is damaged

Countermeasures: 1. Clean the nozzle set; 2. Replace the nozzle set;

Seven, phenomenon: automatic spray gun can not spray paint or a small amount of paint

Reasons: 1. The air supplement hole of the gun pot cover is blocked or the air cap and suction pipe are seriously blocked; 2. There is no paint in the pot; 3. The stroke of the thimble is too small.

Countermeasures: 1. Clean the air supplement hole, air cap and suction pipe on the lid; 2. Add paint; 3. Rotate the paint flow adjustment knob to increase the stroke of the needle valve

8. Phenomenon: paint leakage at the nozzle

Reasons: 1. The sealing nut of the thimble is too tight; 2. There is a foreign body inside the nozzle port; 3. The nozzle and the thimble are not matched or damaged; 4. The return spring of the thimble is broken or not installed.

Countermeasures: 1. Loosen the thimble sealing nut; 2. Clean the nozzle; 3. Replace the nozzle set; 4. Replace the thimble return spring or install the thimble return spring.

9. Phenomenon: The spray width cannot be adjusted

Reasons: 1. The fan control holes on both sides of the air cap are blocked; 2. The spray width regulator is damaged or installed incorrectly; 3. The air passages of the automatic spray gun fan control holes are blocked.

Countermeasures: 1. Clean the air cap; 2. Replace the spray pattern regulator or install the spray pattern regulator correctly; 3. Clean the air passage.

10. Phenomenon: If the air pressure cannot be adjusted normally or the compressed air is just connected, it will be sprayed directly from the muzzle

Reasons: 1. The air regulator is damaged or the air valve is damaged; 2. The return spring of the air valve is broken or not installed.

Countermeasures: 1. Replace the air regulator or air valve; 2. Replace the air valve return spring or install the air valve return spring.

11. Phenomenon: thimble seals leak paint

Reasons: 1. The thimble sealing ring is worn; 2. The thimble sealing ring gasket is not installed; 3. The thimble sealing ring spring is damaged or not installed; 4. The thimble sealing nut is loose; 5. The contact between the thimble and the sealing ring is worn; 6. The thimble does not match the spray gun.

Countermeasures: 1. Replace the thimble sealing ring; 2. Install the thimble sealing ring gasket; 3. Replace or install the thimble sealing ring spring; 4. Tighten the thimble sealing nut; 5. Replace the nozzle set; 6. Replace the automatic spray gun Matching nozzle set.
